A Prayer for the Courage to Be Free

How grateful I am to pray.

Grateful for this breath of life.

Grateful for the ground beneath me, and for the loving Presence holding me in this and every now moment.

I recognize one Great Spirit moving through all of creation, through all life.

The fire that transmutes beneath the Earth.

The wind that journeys across open lands.

The quiet wisdom guiding every wild horse and their herd.

I know that I am one with this Presence.

Its strength is my strength.

Its freedom is alive within me.

And so it is that I release the belief that I must remain where my spirit has outgrown.

I release the fear that honoring my truth will separate me from love.

I know the path before me is opening with grace.

I do not need to see the whole journey.

I trust the next true step appearing beneath my feet.

That there is a presence before me making all crooked roads straight, and therefore, I am free to listen to my soul.

I am free to choose what brings me back to life.

I am free to become who I have always been beneath the fear.

Like the wild horse crossing volcanic earth, I move in harmony with my own knowing.

I am guided.

I am protected.

I am already free, and today I claim this as my truth.

Liberated by this knowing, I bless every heart standing at the edge of change.

I know that the same loving intelligence guiding me is guiding each one of us home to self, love, and oneness.

How grateful I am for the courage already rising within me.

I release this prayer with trust and faith, for I know it is done, I feel it is done, and therefore I simply let it be.

And so it is.
